So I tried to make the Roxycraft heart ami way back when I started crocheting but unfortunately at that point, I really couldn't read crochet patterns. I tried, I really did, but I just didn't get it. Well I decided to try again. This time success!

Merlin around the world!

So back in March I made Merlin the Dragon for my brother before he started a new contract on the ships and he was kind enough to take pictures of Merlin throughout his travels. The lil' guy has seen more of the world than I have!

Merlin at the Acropolis at Athens, Greece.

Merlin in Nice, France

Merlin out on the open ocean!

Merlin chillin' on a statue in Livorno, Italy.

Merlin enjoying some pizza (which my brother proclaims as the best in the world) in Naples, Italy.

And after pizza, he stopped at this castle/fortress thingamabob in Nice, France.

Merlin enjoying a litre of beer in Civitavicchia, Italy.

Le voici à Cannes, France!

Merlin is enjoying both his and Greg's favourite meal - Rare Beef Noodle Soup in Villefranche, France at Chez Hien.

Drinking some Lemoncello at the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.

Who knew that dragons were lightweights when it came to alcohol? I didn't!

Luckily he's a trooper and survived!

He's the most badass of all crocheted dragons. Guaranteed!

He's thinking about taking a dip in the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy.
Thanks to Greg for all the cute photos!

I got burned by my hot glue gun. Fantasic.
Last week I was at Woz's house to pick up a few things before we went back to my apartment for Glee night. As we were walking out the door she turned and asked me if I needed a lamp. Why yes I do, I said! I've been meaning to pick up one for my bedroom forever. The problem was, it was green. My bedroom has no green in it whatsoever. Oh, but I could change that - and I did.

After some paint, (skull) fabric and a wee bit of ribbon (which I wish now I hadn't put on but I can't take it off without ruining the entire shade) and I have a new bedroom lamp.

I also finally got around to putting up the rest of my framed concert tickets. I only bought them (the frames) in April-ish. 5 months ain't that bad!

This weekend was beyond busy. Greg came home. Went to dinner at my Aunt's. Went shopping. Saw a movie. Went out to dinner. My mum, cousins and I also got to drive down to Peggy's Cove while the weather is still nice enough. Here's a pretty effing cute picture of my cousins. Nothing says Nova Scotia like a picture of a lighthouse!

I'm back. I think.
Oh, it's been an interesting couple of months. Quit one job, started a new one, hated that job with a passion, went back to the first job. Oh, and a month later, was given an 8 week working notice that we all were being laid off. I changed apartments. Then I lost my creative spark. I just wasn't interested in making anything. Sigh
But I think it's back! My first project was Polo 2.0! I made Polo 1.0 back in May for a friend's birthday and I was never quite happy with it. He looked odd in colour and at the time I didn't have the right safety eyes so he looked kinda wonky. So I tried again. This time I decided to do him in black and white so that he looked more like he does in his drawn form.
Here he is in drawn form.

So cute. And here he is in amigurumi form!
